What’s New in FoCal 4.5
Welcome to FoCal 4.5.
This release brings Scores – a feature which shows you what all the measurements actually mean! This functionality is brought over from FoCal Mobile but significantly extended for Desktop to bring more information and help.
There also updates and improvements to the new History Database, fixes for both Windows and macOS, Camera and Lens updates and various user interface improvements and fixes.
License Requirements
FoCal 4.5 is available to anyone within their Included Updates Period as of 31st January 2025 – if you’ve bought FoCal or renewed your support less than 12 months before this date, you’re good to go.
If you don’t have support, head to www.reikanfocal.com/account and log in to purchase a further 12 months of updates for a reduced price. This will give you access to all new releases over the following 12 months (and you keep the version at the end of your support period), as well as FoCal Comparison Data to compare your gear with other users, and full use of the Premium features of both our mobile apps (just log in with your FoCal Pro username/password in the apps to activate).

Scores
To access the new Scores page in FoCal, simply click the Scores link in the test page for:
- Autofocus Calibration
- Calibration Check
- Aperture Sharpness or
- Stabilisation Test
There is help within this page and help for each individual score if you hit the “?” icon.
