Known Issues
macOS Sonoma – Camera Detection
Apple have added new permissions requirements to macOS Sonoma in order for software to have access to external cameras, but there is a bug which stops the message requesting permissions to access the camera from being shown.
This is affecting many developers of software which communicates with external cameras, and we are actively working with Apple to try to fix the issue.
If you cannot get FoCal to show any cameras in FoCal 4 on macOS Sonoma, the workaround for now is to revert back to FoCal 3.10 which does operate correctly on macOS Sonoma.
